Treatment Protocol /Technique
After clinical (ASIA) and MRI staging of severity (contusion & total disruption with or without gap) and assessment of type (Cystic \Lacerative or Diffuse lesion) We manage on a specific protocol:
Immediate
-
Postural reduction.
-
Hypothermia -Application of cold packs at site of injury.
-
maintain Blood Pressure on higher side.
-
maintenance of arterial oxygen levels.
-
Drugs like Methylprednisilone.
Followed by Decompressive surgery with fixation +\- omental transposition as early as possible.
With in 15 days to 6 months –
-
Injection of Bone marrow mononuclear cells isolated from iliac bones .
-
Auyervedic medicines–extract of mimosa pudica
-
Drugs like Minocycline
-
Physiotherapy and specific Rehabilitation Regimen
